To assist in keeping the event safe, sustainable and fun, here’s an easy list of ‘Terms & Conditions’ to help you strike the right chords.
FESTIVAL INFORMATION

All information & updates about the Festival, including changes to these terms and conditions, weather warnings and date changes, will be posted on the Website and Facebook. Please check the Website and Facebook for current information before leaving home, and print the directions.

Please come prepared with ear protection if you are sensitive to noise. Exposure to loud noise can be detrimental to hearing, especially for children.

All people attending the festival do so at their own risk.

All vehicles, coaches, buses are parked at owner’s own risk.

Please keep the Festival site, associated participating Venues and the Margaret River township clean.
THE VENUE
-
The ‘Official Ticket Office’ is located at Margaret River HEART – Festival Main Hub.

All event venues are subject to capacity restrictions.

The Festival Map, available on the Website, lists all participating venues and their locations.
FESTIVAL PASSES / TICKETS / LANYARDS / WRISTBANDS

Festival passes are accessible only to over 18’s and 13-17's with parent or guardian.

Each ticket has a unique barcode and, unless otherwise stated at the time of booking, each ticket is valid to admit 1 adult only (You may not share your barcode with any other person).

The ticket price includes all applicable GST.

Online purchases through Humanitix are subject to a booking fee per ticket

You may not re-sell your pass or ticket for profit.

Purchased Festival passes and tickets are not refundable. The ticket price will not be refunded if you are unable to attend the event. If you wish to sell your ticket please contact customer support at hello@stringsattachedfestival.com.au and we will assist you as swiftly as we can. Beware of scammers buying or selling tickets and only buy tickets directly from our ticketing provider Humanitix using links supplied by the Festival via email, official social media account or this website. The Festival will not be held liable for any monies lost to scammers.

Your ticket will be exchanged for a lanyard and/or wristband at the ‘Festival Box Office’ subject to ticket type.

Festival pass lanyards aren’t transferrable and will not be replaced if lost, however access will be granted to events with the provided wristband.

Access to paid events will not be granted without being able to display an undamaged Festival wristband.

Wristbands will not be replaced should they be lost or damaged.

18+ patrons must show ‘valid photo ID’ (a current Australian driver’s license, current passport or proof of age card). These may be required at the Ticket Office and at the different Festival venue locations.

Attendees under the age of 18+ must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for entry to licensed venues.

Children 12 years of age and younger are admitted free to Festival events when accompanied by a responsible adult holding a Festival Pass. Parents are responsible for their children at all times. NOTE: Some venues do not allow U18's after a certain time. To be certain, be sure to check with the venue first.

You must register for events you wish to attend in order to guarantee admittance. If you arrive at an event without having registered and the event is full, you will have to wait until there is space to be admitted by event staff. If you arrive at an event without having registered and there is still space, you may be admitted with your festival pass.

Start times for workshops, keynote speeches and sit down concerts will be strict, and if you do not arrive by the start time you will forfeit your reservation.

The festival reserves the right to resell your ticket/reservation to a performance event should you fail to arrive before the last 90mins of the performance.

If you are living outside of Western Australia and are unable to attend the event due to travel restrictions related to Covid-19, you are eligible to request a refund (minus booking fee) via hello@stringsattachedfestival.com.au

For WA residents, should your ability to attend the festival be affected by Covid-19 related travel restrictions, we ask that you retain your ticket/s as they will be deemed valid for the festival in the event of a reschedule. Please bear with us should this unfortunate scenario unfold and we will do our best to keep you safe and informed.
RESTRICTIONS

The Festival reserves the right to alter (add, withdraw or substitute) the advertised artists, program & timings (including by cancelling artists, performers, workshops or other), (without refund). Passes won’t be refunded, however if a single event must be cancelled then single ticket holders to that event will be refunded

The Festival plays rain or shine unless inclement weather becomes a danger to our community. Your safety is our primary concern.

The Festival reserves the right to publish any photos or videos of any individual photographed at the Festival, for promotional purposes, across any form of social and print media.

Unauthorised professional cameras, recording devices or drones are not permitted. Permission from the festival must be obtained prior to the event via written application to marketing@stringsattachedfestival.com.au

We encourage ‘a no-plastic’ policy, where stainless steel water bottles and keep cups are appreciated. You can fill up at one of the ‘Water Stations’ located at some venues and in the MR township (see festival map).

BYO alcohol, glass, illegal substances, large umbrellas (to outdoor events) aren’t permitted at any Festival venues.

Refer to the individual ‘Festival Venue’ websites for animal policies. Pets are not permitted at Margaret River HEART

The Festival is a smoke-free event (please use the designated smoking areas). Each ‘Festival Venue’ will have their own smoking policies.
ALCOHOL & DRUGS

All Venues are fully licensed. You may not consume BYO alcohol in these areas.

Intoxicated patrons, illegal drug users or antisocial behaviour will not be tolerated and managed by Festival Security, and participating ‘Festival Venue’ security.

The Festival organisers accept no liability for any injuries or damages caused by dangerous activities including, climbing, stage diving, moshing and crowd surfing. This behaviour may lead Festival Security to ask you to leave the premises.

We have a commitment to community, making everyone feel welcome and safe, therefore discrimination or sexual harassment of any description is unacceptable and won’t be tolerated at the Festival.

No threatening behaviour or inappropriate manner (aggressive, riotous, abusive, or insulting actions) towards other patrons or event staff will be tolerated.

Breach of the above conditions may result in the removal of the Festival attendee from the venue.
LEGALITIES
On Our own behalf and on behalf of the Venue Owners, We warn You that:

The Venues are privately owned, rural properties which contains known and unknown, natural and man-made obstacles, risks and dangers to health and safety;

The consumption of any intoxicating substance – including alcohol – creates a risk to personal health and safety and the health and safety of others;
-
When You attend the Festival, You will necessarily be exposed to risks which may result in loss or damage to Your property, personal injury or even death
-
You attend the Festival at Your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, You release and indemnify Us and the Venue Owners from and against any and all Claims and Liabilities directly or indirectly relating to your attendance at the Festival, including Your presence on the Venue and the risks associated with any activity You participate at the Festival whether or not that activity is organised by Us or supplied by a Vendor.
